Founded in 1854, Springdale Cemetery, in
Peoria, IL, is one of the oldest and largest cemeteries in Illinois. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. On October
4th, Cranes & Equipment assisted in replacing a statue of a soldier
on a monument that was originally dedicated after the Civil War,
around 1870. The new soldier was modeled after photos of the
original statue and weighs approx. 1,500 lbs. A PM Model 35027LC
crane, with a capacity of 2,250 lbs. at 62' 10", made setting the
statue easy while preserving the surrounding grave sites. |
